Hey all! I didnt see this article posted. There is ANOTHER picture of a smirky smirk too. barf
Anyways... here is the link [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
Here are some snips: McCroskey smirked at the cameras as he was led into the Prince Edward court building. He said very little during the short hearing. McCroskey's attorney says his client still feels remorse but is extremely nervous as the capital murder case moves forward.

His ankles shackled and dressed in an orange jumpsuit, McCroskey glanced at our camera with a smirk on his face.

"He's extremely nervous about this. He's held in isolation and this isn't something he's real proud about, and so he comes in, he's 21, he's not used to being in public at all. I think he smiles when he's not really...it's just a nervous smile," said McCroskey's attorney Cary Bowen.

    AND this:

Although the commonwealth's attorney hasn't said whether he'll seek the death penalty, Bowen says his client is realizing the gravity of the situation.

"He's got mixed feelings about the whole thing. He's in limbo. He's probably to some degree ready to get things going and come to grips with it," said Bowen.

    end snip.
As a matter of fact, I think the articles quoted are very similiar, oh well -checking in.[quote]

    He's in Prince Edward County

Hearing dates and resolution are on line. Motions filed are NOT.

Currently he has cases CR09000463 - 469 pending for 9-20. 6 murder charges [which as a side I never understood as there are only 4 victims. Perhaps someone who knows more about this could weigh in for me.]
And the 7th charge is a Grand Larceny of an auto.

    I found it:
    Prince County Circuit Court
    Case#CR09000463-00
Only has the trial date of 09/20/10 listed but I can't get to any pre-trial motions that have been filed.

Scott - if you call the county clerk can you get a copy of the motions? Is there a fee?

I called the County clerks's office to see if I could get copies of the pre-trial motions that will be argued at the 09/20/2010 hearing but you have to send a request for exactly what you want in writing and it's .50 per page for a copy. How do you know exactly what you want if the motions aren't available to view anywhere?

Virginia - it's called a PDF look into it.

Anyway, if any locals care to dig around, maybe the news reporters have this information already and would share or maybe you could actually go to the hearing and report for us what evidence the defense is trying to EXCLUDE - because that ranks high on my curiosity list.
