I'm not sure which song that is but it certainly could be. There's a few guys doing the lounge cover thing but Richard Cheese outshines them all. He actually doesn't make much money because he has to pay out so much in royalties for the songs he covers. I think he deserves to make more than he does because I truly enjoy his take on the songs he plays.

I don't know eric I don't get that version.I like the Alanis Morissette song because she takes a silly song and makes it emotional and shows what a curse those humps really are...imo richard cheese does the opposite to "chop suey"...oh and that "umbrella" version I thought of is actually done by the plain white t's...i looked it up...doctor z if you come back here pls tell us about the otep show...

I agree with Mandy, this is a melodic song and I have a good recording of this and love it.

This is another one of my all time favorite songs and favorite bands. It's really slow live, but still awesome. I feel stoned just listening to it, and it has such a soothing melody.

That's cool! It's just meant to be fun. I like the lounge music and his piano player, if you listen to his whole body of work, is amazing. But I have friends who hate Richard Cheese and get mad at me if I play it.

No thank you for reminding me of them! I mean I still have a lot of the music but sometimes I forget some of the great stuff I have. I remember rocking out to them back in college. Back when I had long hair. Headbanging is so much more fun with long hair!

I am helping one of my closest friends, the brewer/owner at the brewpub I work at, fill up some 5 gallon glass carboys, with a belgian style strong ale. We are drawing it off of a small 7.5 barrel fermenter (approx. 255 gallons). We later added locally handpicked elderberries to it and aged it in corked and caged 750ml bottles. It was an experimental batch that, while not great, turned out pretty good and was a great learning experience for the brewer. This was about two years ago. Now the subsequent Bourbon Barrel Aged Stout turned out fantastic and many who tried it loved it. We have a new batch aging right now which will be ready in October. It is fantastic fun working in the beer business and what most don't know is that, today, beer made by American Craft Brewers is heralded, around the world, as some of the best made on the planet. All beer is rapidly emerging and growing as a widely respected choice for food pairings. Mario Batali has just merged with some top notch American and Italian Brewers to create a small brewery as part of a large fine dining establishment in Manhatten called Eataly.

I say "good for beer" get the respect you deserve.
That's a great job. I knew that pic had to have something to do with beer, just wasn't sure exactly what. I was having college beer bong flashbacks.

Well thanks for asking -- when you did my inner beer geek leapt at the chance to explain the pic!
Beer bongs indeed -- I had one of those in college! A few years ago I went into a local hardware store to buy some flexible tubing for the drain spout of the kegerator I was building. I told this 20 year old kid who worked there that I was looking for some clear tubing about 3/4" around. He looked at me with a serious and conspiratorial look on his face and said "for a beer bong?"
Maybe you had to be there but I just busted out laughing. I was thinking "dude I haven't done a beer bong in at least 14 years!"
