Been catching up here on a lot and a lot has happened. Lady Sig and some F'ville locals getting all upset and bailing. Well I figure this is how a forum that has legs will work itself out. It is indeed unfortunate that some are so easily insulted but if everyone bit their lip on everything, for fear of insulting someone, nothing would ever be accomplished and we might well as well all go home. Those of us who can handle our ideas being challenged and criticized, in the name of higher learning, will remain and carry on a healthy discourse so long as respect is maintained between all.

I agree. While I wish Atlantic would have responded to my questions, or, in the alternative, would allow me to ask a few questions via email, I don't think we need to beg for others to come back here.

I have posted a thread just now asking them to return, I will go no further and if they do not return soon I will delete the thread and we will carry on without them. I dont understand some people's inability to take a little heat and be able to move on and let it go. I for one enjoy being challenged and answering the challenge, it is what is most appealing to me about internet discussion forum environment, I have never really been one for small talk and chit chat as I much prefer heated debate where everyone is at eachother's throats and when it is all over we shake, have a beer and laugh about it, to me this is how the world should operate, one should speak their mind no matter how controversial or offensive what they have to say may be and others should have the right to call them on that uncensored and nobody should get offended by it and we all remain friends in the aftermath.


I live by the old adage: "Friends is friends, business is business." It has worked well for me, I own a small construction company that two of my nephews run for me, I used to be able to get out and work with the crew and I miss that but I have another career now that is more important but I still run the construction company but let my nephews take care of the day to day, I often to have to jump their ass and I am not the easiest person to work for, I am demanding and can be an asshole but they understand that it is only because I want them to keep their jobs and if we fuck up we lose business and they are out of work. So when I jump their ass they dont take it personally, we have sat down and discussed the importance of business being business and family being family, when we are family business doesnt come between us and when we are business family doesnt come between that. We all need to be able to remain friends and still be able to rip in to eachother on here and express ourselves and stand our ground without making it personal, then we can go down to the lounge in general discussion where it is all forgotten and share in friendly chat and small talk.

Why most adults are incapable of this is beyond me, imo it is what defines adulthood and separates us from children and chimpanzees.

I guess I am an idealist.
